PROFILE

Monica Herrera is a detail-oriented economic performance analyst, specializing in culturally sensible and locally appropriate Community and Economic Development. Whether in small businesses or real estate, her expertise accessing capital and unlocking opportunities towards growth, informs her practice as consultant at Widener SBDC.

Her background in design and economic development allows her to bolster clients’ skills and assets through a result-driven design-thinking methodology focused on achieving business and capital growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Widener’s premier Small Business Budget and Grant Analyst, Monica oversees the center financials. In addition, given her experience with the financial industry, she assists clients with loan packing and financial projections.

She has extensive experience in the areas of Community and Economic Development in addition to her talent in Public Relations, Data & Financial Analysis, Creative Prob-lem Solving & Collaboration besides a multicultural background; making her a valuable asset at Widener‘s SBDC.

She strives to be the cheerleader and coach everyone needs on their team providing technical assistance and customized support to ensure clients succeed in meeting their goals through consulting, businesses’ and individual financial analysis; business and financial planning, facilitating education programming, and producing culturally sensible content for diverse communities, as well as liaising mentorship relations between established businesses, partners and community members.
