Our start-up accelerator was designed to address classical health and life science business issues. Our approach combines proven methodologies taught by experts + peer learning and actionable assignments, all while homing in the industry specific solutions. Founders of successful health and life science startups reported facing the below issues when starting their companies.

Attendees will receive:

Over the course of 6 sessions, you will learn about and execute on topics like:

  • Product/market fit and customer validation.
  • Getting traction with customers pre-revenue.
  • Determining “who is the customer” and the most effective marketing and sales channels.
  • Fund raising and cash management.
  • Regulatory issues (FDA classification, Quality Management Systems, Sunshine Act, etc.)
  • Customer and revenue generation (who is the “user” and who are the decision makers- complicated in a hospital situation) and then reimbursement (how do you get paid?)
  • Grant and IP decisions and process:
  • Should you apply for an SBIR or STTR grant? Which one? How? Upsides/downsides?
  • When does it make sense to file for a patent? What kind and what is the process.

Who is it for?

Must have one or more of the following attributes:

  • Firsthand knowledge of the intended customer’s problem needs, or job to be done.
  • Clear vision of the intended solution (how it will be accomplished and what value provides to the customer.)
  • Technical capability to get solution made.
  • Experience in the target market (medical, research, management, or sales and Marketing.)
  • This program was designed for busy professionals who have limited time and a strong desire to make it happen! We are seeking enterprising practitioners or aficionados in the health and life science field.
